Advanced Dental Technology

Same Day Crowns with Cerec

We can make crowns, bridges and veneers in our office in a single visit with Cerec technology. We digitally scan the area without the need for traditional impressions. Sophisticated software allows us to customize the design and shade of the restorations. A CAD cam milling machine then mills the crowns with an incredible degree of accuracy. We can cement the restoration permanently in the same appointment.

Laser Treatment

Our lasers allow us to treat our patients with more comfort and rapid healing compared to traditional methods. We also have a special laser that uses a Cold Laser or LLLT (low-level laser light therapy) to treat TMJ, Facial pain and other conditions. It does not heat up and is painless to administer. It can reduce pain and greatly accelerate the healing process

Diagnodent Laser Cavity Detection

Early identification and treatment of cavities are one of the most important services we provide our patients at Comprehensive Family  Dental, so we use Diagnodent laser technology. The Diagnodent precisely detects decay in its early stages, often before it can be recognized by other means, which allows for fillings that are smaller and simpler. Minimally invasive filling procedures also enable us to preserve more of your natural tooth.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Because composite fillings can be bonded to teeth, they usually allow for more conservative preparations. When less tooth structure is removed, we are able to create smaller, more natural looking fillings than conventional amalgam (silver) fillings. The tooth-colored material is cured with an intense light and the surface is shaped and polished to match the rest of your tooth, rendering the final restoration smooth and virtually undetectable to the eye.

Digital Root Canal Therapy

Thanks to recent advancements in dental technology, Dr. Rainey and Dr. Fritsche can now complete root canal therapy in as little as one session, and with more comfort for their patients than ever before. If you’ve been told you need a root canal, call our office today and ask us about your options.

Intraoral Camera

Using this camera, we can give you a “tour” of your mouth, live on TV. We also use the intraoral camera to guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options, keeping you at the center of your treatment plans. We want you to feel informed at every step of the way, so you can make smart choices for your smile.

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays are faster than conventional x-rays, and they are comfortable for you. They also aid us to accurately diagnose your oral health needs. All with up to 90% less radiation exposure! And, with no chemical processing needed, digital technology helps us do our part to keep the environment safe. We also employ digital imaging, so you can see how fantastic your smile will look before treatment even begins.

Professional Teeth Whitening

In addition to giving you the benefit of a cleaner looking and more attractive smile, whiter teeth can also enhance your confidence and self-esteem. A brighter smile can even lead to healthier teeth because when your teeth look better, you tend to take better care of them to keep them looking great. Ask us about our powerful, professional teeth whitening options at your next visit!

Invisalign

If you think clear and removable braces sound perfect, then you could be on your way to a straight smile in no time with Invisalign. Through a series of clear Aligners®, this comfortable and removable alternative to traditional braces straightens your teeth with noticeable results but without the noticeable bars and brackets of metal braces. The Aligners are changed approximately every two weeks to straighten your teeth step by step, and as an added convenience, they can even be taken out while you eat and brush your teeth. Call today to schedule your Invisalign consultation!

Air Abrasion

Employing the air abrasion technique, we use a tiny stream of air mixed with fine particles to gently remove decay and fill cavities. In many cases, air abrasion eliminates the need for shots or drills!

A Bite Splint is worn by a patient suffering from TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder). I custom fabricate TMJ splints in my Victoria Tx dental office. We are able to treat TMJ symptoms such as popping jaw, jaw pain, and headaches with bite splints and many other dental techniques.
